The World Chess Museum, located at 9 Odrodzenia Street, is, in my opinion and in line with numerous positive reviews from my friends, an absolutely unique and exceptionally interesting institution that fascinatingly presents the history and diversity of chess as a cultural and artistic phenomenon from around the world. I believe that the museum's concept, focusing on this royal game, is a brilliant idea, inspiring not only seasoned chess players but also tourists seeking unique attractions and t

This place is truly unique on the Polish tourist map. Our guide, Magdalena, passionately told us about the origins and materials used to make the chess sets in the museum's collection, peppering her stories with chess anecdotes. When visiting the exhibition outside of the season, it's essential to book a visit by phone. I highly recommend it.

A fantastic exhibition for chess enthusiasts. There's such a huge variety that it's impossible to choose the most beautiful pieces. Mr. Andrzej gives a very engaging account of his incredible collection. It's worth calling ahead to make an appointment; they'll definitely be open (contact details are provided on the website).
