I visited this place after hearing that it was a famous cherry blossom spot. There were few tourists and the deer were relatively docile, so I enjoyed a leisurely stroll and taking photos. The cherry blossoms were about a week past their peak, but the carpet of cherry blossoms was beautiful and it was a memorable sight. I would like to visit again next year.

This is a recommended spot where you can see many Naranoyaezakura, about which Ise Daifu wrote, "In the old days, Naranonomiyakonoezakura today smells like this flower." The best time to see it is around April 20th. Around April 10th, you can see the very similar Naranokokonoezakura. Both are varieties endemic to Nara. The flowers are similar, but they bloom at different times, so it's not difficult to tell them apart, but if you want to tell them apart easily, look at the sepals on the back of
