An escape in to a peaceful and tranquil nature reserve in the middle of an urban city. The greenery, waterbody, birds, butterflies and dragonflies are a nature lovers joy! There is an entrance fee of Rs.200/- for locals and a parking fee of Rs.50/- per vehicle. The nature trail takes you on a gravel path (that could have been better maintained) and board walk. Thank you for providing such a beautiful park and vibrant bird and wildlife sanctuary in the middle of the city. The space is a real asset to the community and greatly appreciated by visitors. Baddegana Wetland Park is a peaceful green escape near Colombo. The place is full of lush greenery, calm water areas, and that real wetland vibe — perfect for relaxing and clearing your mind. You’ll see plenty of birds and butterflies, and it’s great for photography. Parking is available, and the ticket for locals is Rs.200, which is worth it. It can get a bit muddy after rain, and the park could be maintained a little better, but overall, it’s a refreshing and relaxing spot to enjoy nature! 🌾📸

A place in Colombo that’s full of trees, animals, and birds — it’s truly amazing! It’s the perfect spot to take a break from the concrete world and spend some time in nature. However, one thing I noticed is the separate charge for parking. Since we already buy an entry ticket, paying an additional fee for parking feels a bit unreasonable. Apart from that, the environment, atmosphere, safety, and security are all excellent. I had a really nice time there!
