Who can object to such a grandiose cathedral architecture, dating from the days of the Baron Empain? Everything speaks miles of grandeur, pompous style and undeniably a spiritual atmosphere which grips your heart and soul from the moment you step in. It even catches you before the entrance.

Unfortunately, the cathedral is under renovation, so I wasn't able to visit it.
But it's still a beautiful monument in Heliopolis that's well worth the detour, especially after a visit to Baron Empain's palace, which isn't far.
What's more, it's not far from the El Ahram metro station, making the area easily accessible.
