This free museum by far exceeded our expectations. Model railroad that runs with a push of a button, kids area with a dollhouse, barn, coloring, and vintage scale to weigh themselves. Fun exhibits about a lot of different topics.

Very friendly and fun staff working the museum that are incredibly knowledgeable. I walked away appreciating hearing personal accounts and seeing the history of the Ashland area. That's something you can't buy so I would strongly recommend stopping in this easily accessible, conveniently located historical museum for 15-30 minutes of learning and in return, consider making a donation of any amount to keep sites like this open to the public. Thank you for all you do and share with the community A

The folk in here were incredibly knowledgeable about Ashland & its history, and helpfully shared their books & time with us. As a result we were able to track down details on my great-great grandfather's harness shop. There are a lot of tchotchkes from decades past on display, including a wonderful collection of Lake Superior concretions.
