Around 90 BC about 30,000 people lived on this island said to be a birthplace of Apollo and Artemis. Home to multiple historical landmarks like statues of lions (the ones on the open air are replicas - the originals are a half mile away in the museum on the island), the Koinon of the Poseidon, the theatre of Delos and of course houses with mosaics. If I could I'd spend an entire day around there.

I came here on of a boat ride from Mykonos whilst on holiday, and the whole experience was amazing. The ruins are so detailed, despite their age, and there is so much to see. Furthermore, the museum has some great artefacts in and I would definitely recommend the trip. Something that made the day out even more special was the amount of cats on the island too! Great day.

So much to see. Get a guide to better understand what you are seeing. Went in late September, but it was still hot. Huge site, the ruins cover a large share of the island. Don't know costs, was there as part of out Collette tour, and our wait time was different than individuals.

It’s a very interesting island, a must do while visiting Mykonos. The downside is that there are few signs explaining what you are seeing. If you get the audio at port, its good but is hard to follow as the locations aren’t numbered.

Hot Hot Hot The cats & the marble lions were the best part. Be warned it’s all ruins, I was under the impression we would go in an actual temple. Make sure you wear a hat the sun is very bright and hot. The island is visually appealing. They weren’t kidding when they said the sun shines the brightest here in Grease. But seeing those marble lions were cool they were the guardians now it’s ironic now the small lions guard. Very rocky wear good shoes, if you have mobility issue be advised.
