A nice sculpture at the start of the park. There are lots of interesting sites throughout the park and it is worth spending time exploring and seeing what you can find while enjoying the outdoors.

The statue is near one of the entrances for Princess Street Gardens. He was known for creating the first organized circulating library. He did this from his bookstore (originally his wig shop). This was all after his poetry started to catch on.

This statue was done by John Steell so we wouldn’t forget the influences he made for future generations.
