We visited the Bergen Aquarium with my girlfriend because she had never seen penguins before, and she absolutely loved it. The penguin exhibit was definitely a highlight for us.
There was a large variety of animals, and each exhibit had clear, informative descriptions that made the experience even more interesting. The entire aquarium was very clean and well maintained, which made the visit even more enjoyable.
Great place to visit in Bergen, especially if you’re going with someone who loves a

Our whole family enjoyed it, and we spent at least 2–3 hours here. From the outside it may seem like there isn’t much, but inside there is a lot to see, and you also need to go down to the basement levels… There are also two cinemas – one smaller and one larger, set up like a real movie theater. The marine life on display is very extensive.

Aquarium with a small outdoor area in Bergen. The building is located a little way outside the city center. You can walk there in 30 minutes or take the bus. Tickets are available at the entrance and are quiet expensive. However admission is free with the Bergen Card. The exhibition is spread over three floors. There is also a tunnel to walk through in the basement. Food is available in a self-service bistro or in a restaurant.

Entertaining place to visit and to wonder while looking at animals. Not as big as I thought it would be, but it seems to pride itself on providing their animals the best life they can have in an aquarium. Check out the aquarium schedule: there’s always a show to see or a movie to watch and relax your legs. Loved the otters (I miss you Bella and Gizmo)!

The aquarium is small, but clean and well kept. The tropical enclosures as well as the aquariums indoors are spacious. The staff is kind. We absolutely loved the sea lion feeding, the two seem very happy and have big personalities. Same goes for the otters. For these two animals the enclosures were also spacious and well kept. I unfortunately must say that the penguins broke our hearts - let me start by saying they look healthy and well fed. Unfortunately as this species of penguin is one of the
