Smaller than the geological museum next door, but the animal displays are one of a kind.

Extensive zoological collection with excellent native diorama's. Exhibitions are well designed with up-to-date science. Also great to see insects being displayed alongside the bigger fauna as other museums don't really do so that much.

It's a small but nice and fun place especially for kids with full of animals. I think this museum is good for children to learn more about nature. I wish the explanations would be in English as well. There are some English ones but most of them are in Norwegian.

Small but enjoyable little exhibition with fossils, minerals, geological maps and stuffed animal exhibits. Child friendly, although pretty quiet place (I visited during Easter). They have a pretty impressive T-Rex replica that dominates the room it's placed in. Definitely recommend if you like these stuff. The surrounding area is also nice, with the botanical gardens and the Munch museum being close by.
