Yeni Mosque (Yeni Camii)

This incredibly beautiful mosque is located right in the city center, not far from the ferry pier, so you’ll likely see it even if you didn’t plan to visit. It looks stunning both during the day and in the evening when the lights are on.

Inside, the atmosphere is very calm and peaceful. If you feel tired from the noise and crowds around Eminönü, you can step into the courtyard — it’s quiet and relaxing, even if you don’t plan to enter the mosque itself. It’s a great pl

We loved our visit here. We found the mosque very beautiful feom the distance and walk towards it. The architecture is stunning, and the atmosphere inside is so quiet and calm compared to the busy square outside. Entry was free, which was a happy surprise! It’s super convenient to visit since it's just steps away from the tram station and the Spice Bazaar. Great for photos.

The New Mosque is a beautiful 17th-century structure at the Istanbul waterfront at the base of the Galata Bridge. It is unmistakable if you travel by one of the many ferries or in one of the trams or buses bringing people into Sultanahmet. At night, it looks even better - like something from the Arabian Nights.
