Yedikule Fortress is slightly away from Istanbul’s main tourist areas, but it’s a real hidden gem and absolutely worth the visit. It’s easy to reach by tram, followed by a short walk from the stop, making it far more accessible than you might expect.
The fortress itself is a fascinating historic site and the restoration work has clearly been done with care. There was some construction taking place during our visit, but it didn’t interfere with exploring the site or detract from the overall expe

Fantastic! Was quiet, no tourist crowds. Access to two if the towers. 50 th entry with Turkish İD. A bit out of the way but easy to navigate to Yedikule station and short walk through the small town. Nice little cafe with sandwiches and cake. Recommended

One of the hidden gems in istanbul, there was like only few tourists when I visited it despite the history it holds. Entry fee was 450 lira (~10 euro) which is still high but nothing compared to other monuments in Istanbul

The fortress isn't on the classic Istanbul touristic route but it's worth the visit, specially if you love history. The place is iconic since the byzantine era and it was very important in the Ottoman empire too. Walk over the old city walls of Constantinople (with the beautiful sight to the Marmara sea), visit the dungeon towers and the legendary Golden Gate. There's also a small mosque and cafe on the center grounds.

The place was pleasantly quiet and not overcrowded with tourists – a refreshing change in Istanbul. The view was especially beautiful, offering a great perspective of both the old and new parts of the city. For 250 TL per person, the price was absolutely reasonable. Overall, a very nice short trip that I would definitely recommend.
