Beautiful place but not no clean. Any way if you want to escape city life for a while. Good place. Ample free parking, a tiny kids park and a walk way a little far from the lake. You can listen the sound of wave that my give you a pleasant experience.

The only free swimming spot within an hour, with plenty of parking — that’s a big plus! It’s a nice place to watch sunsets, relax by the water, play with your dog, or let kids enjoy the playground. There’s also a pavilion and a restroom. With a few more picnic tables and trash bins, this place could really shine for families.

But the park is always closed on weekends and federal holidays — basically the exact time most people want to go. Kind of a bummer. You’ll often see people drinking, dogs

We love to beach here on the weekends while cruising the lake. Problem is all the trash, bottle caps, glass is everywhere. We spend a good hour picking up trash and making an area safe for our kids to play. Please pick up after yourself! If you can carry it on to the beach you can carry it off. The city needs to do more trash pickups too. We get there Saturday morning and trash is already full and overflowing on the ground.

This park USED to be for the public, that has changed, summer gathering for the family are no longer allowed at this place, so sad to see the city of Garland taking from the people
