It's a great park for exercise and calisthenics. Mix of Regulars, tourists, students. All levels from beginner to advanced. (Rings, bars etc.) Some wonderful locals also help with training tips and learning correct form. (Mark and Tez, our park FITNESS KINGS, get special mention here!! - thanks guys for all your help) No attitude and importantly a NO SMOKING park, which helps keep that sort of mess away from training areas. There’s something calming about watching kids play while the water sits quietly nearby. This park had that kind of vibe. The open lawns were great for ball games, and my two didn’t waste any time making the most of it. The paths were wide and good for walking at an easy pace. It was tidy overall, which says a lot about how it’s looked after. I did find myself wishing for more shade and a few more benches – standing in the sun while the kids played got tiring. Waterline Park is located under the Riverside Expressway and adjacent the Bicentennial Bikeway. The park includes insitu fitness equipment and table tennis tables. Landscaped with seating areas, shade provided by the overhead freeway. Toilet facilities available further along towards Victoria Bridge.

This park is nestled beneath the bridge, situated in front of the new casino. The artistic paintings adorning the constructions surrounding the park exude a captivating artistic vibe. This park offers an array of free gym equipment that reminds me of similar parks in China, but with more sophisticated designs and a comfortable carpeted floor. This walkway hugs the bank of the Brisbane river on the city side. While it is relatively pleasant, much of its length is situated directly under a freeway which detracts from the experience due to the car noise overhead and the lack of sky light. Take a side step to walk along the mangroves for a more natural experience.
