It is worth to visit this monastery. They have been working for it a lot. Great place!

So peaceful and calming. We were the only people there. Looked shut up but you can just go in, ensure you shut the gate so the animals can not get in to eat the vegetation. Well worth the drive.

Very beautiful little monatery at the end of a very interesting car trip through the mountains of Crete. Not a spot that many tourists know about or visit. So if you want to see a genuine Crete Monastery you should really give it a go. If it looks closed don't worry the gate can be opened by the push of a button. It's just to keep the animals in.

The most beautiful monastery I've ever visited. We've been the only ones visiting at the time and our only company were the cats - lovely 🥰 Quiet, trimmed, invited to linger. If you think, you are not allowed to enter - just keep going.

Worth spending some time to get here and to enjoy the calmness and the beauty of the space. Not sure about the organised trips, but if you drive a car, consider adding the stop in your route.
