Very low key, very beautiful, people mostly aren't around so you can have most of the plane to yourself and it has the most stunning view of Rio. There were security officers around when we went so there is a sense of safety as well

We hiked from the PARQUE NATURAL MUNICIPAL DA CIDADE entrance to Vista Chinesa, which took about an hour or so. Most of the trail is moderate, except for the last couple hundred meters that get pretty steep. The trail markings show up here and there, but it generally feels safe. We only crossed paths with a few other hikers. Along the way we spotted some birds, maybe parrots, and the usual bugs. Once you reach Vista Chinesa, the view is worth it. Incredible view of Rio below.
We went on a day that was (sadly) a bit overcast and it was difficult to see all the sights well, although a large sign is posted with an image of how the different landmarks can be seen and identified from this spot. The pavilion is quite beautiful and with a roof that shines in the sun like brass or copper.
