Fantastic monastery, and everyone is fed free of charge. Such great is the kindness of the monks living there! Obviously, one must be respectfully clothed as one may not be accepted in the monastery otherwise.

Every Friday during Easter time we visit this place with our motorcycles. The road is rough. Rocky slip roads with a lot of dust and turns. The view is estonishing. Prepare yourself and especially your family for rough trip. But at the end of the road you will a lovely beach with a monatestry and a small taverns. Nothing else there. Peaceful place with a monastery on the coast. They are really hostable since they offer bed and food for 2 nights but a call is needed if you want to stay! Also I believe camping is convenient since they have toilets with dush and bbq. Hiking, swimming and fishing are the most suitable activities for this astonishing landscape. 1h is needed from village Sternes till monastery koudoumas, actually it takes 1h to cross the mountain.
