We found this amazing place where there is actually an old street on top of the buildings. Now a terrace and walkway (no automobiles), its a pleasant place to look down on Victoria street below, or to grab a snack or sit at an outside restaurant table. You can take Grassmarket Close (stairs) to descend to Victoria street below and wander down to Grassmarket. Victoria street has interesting curio shops and a pub worth stopping at (the Bow Bar)
