Victoria Embankment Gardens is one of those places that feels quietly personal. It is not large and never tries to impress. Tucked away near the Thames, it offers calm rather than spectacle. My favourite London Picnic spot. A quiet garden but popular with like minded people who enjoy the outdoors for respite from the bustle of nearby Covent Garden or the stress of the business world. A bandstand provides entertainment in the Summer. The chess pieces remain all year round. Robert Burns enjoys a plinth of honour amongst the Poplars and floral colour. Enjoy discovering the others for yourselves.

What a beautiful garden on the hottest side of London, neat to Westminster, the river and all the attractions of London. Fresh and beautiful, it offers wonderful moments to visitors of all ages. I recommend everyone to visit it!

Adjacent to the Embankment underground station is a lovely garden. There are lots of benches to unwind on, grassy picnic areas on the sides, and lovely flowers in the center. A very chilly environment. Inside, there is a cafe. Strongly advised. Although it is not a large park, it is a great spot to go with friends for a picnic. There is also a little park for children there.

Small sized but good location for this park with many big trees and beautiful flowers in the spring/summer time. There are plenty of statues and memorials here with brief descriptions against them which gives a good insight on the significance of the people and the structures. The tulips during the spring season are a sight to behold and is a center of attraction for many.
