Small but impactful Cold War era museum. Formerly the checkpoint near the train, very interactive and highly visual. In English and British with audio tour and written/hands on information. Kids liked it but very brief stop. Totally free, has lockers for bags.

A moving peek into a place where Westerns with a permit, left loved ones behind in the East. There is no linear route, which makes it a bit chaotic. Tip: arrive just before closing time for the added experience of the three male employees simulating the role of former East German officials, making sure you leave the building not a second later than closing time.
