Incredibly thankful for this space 💚 lots of off leash dogs, especially on weekends and during the warm months, so be aware if you have animal anxiety or a reactive dog.

A beautiful, neighborhood beach park with a great vibe. Just regular neighbors hanging out on the "Artists Wall", folks walking/running with their dogs, students from nearby Loyola and Northwestern partying and sunning alongside families with happy kiddos playing in the sand and surf. Never too crowded and way more laid back than the beach scenes to the south of Rogers Park.

This beach was very clean and seemed like a very friendly atmosphere. I would recommend anyone near loyal to come and check this beach out. Beware parking is a nightmare. However, it's impossible to find parking. There are lifeguards on duty so I would say it's a kid friendly place.

I really like the feel for this park. When I need to clear my head real quick, its overwatch of the city sets the tone for reflection while reminding me that I have to go back into 'it' again. The pathways are well-kept, clean and reliable. Garbage bins are readily available and at night, the paths are appropriately light...not too blinding to take away from moonlight but lit enough to reinforce a sense of safety. It is not a park for numbers or where I would do a picnic - it is best suitable fo
