I'd advise anyone interested in learning about the lives of the famous Scottish writers Robert Burns, Robert Louis Stevenson, and Sir Walter Scott, to visit this place. And it's free to enter!
Plenty of artifacts and possessions of the writers lie here along with details of their travels, old manuscripts, statues and some very personal effects such as Stevenson's boots.

Very cured museum developed on different floors with narrow entry (it seems like a farytale). Free entry and not crowded. Many historical objects belonged to the writers and also installations. Quite interactive and moreover they provide you many infos! I surely recommend a quick visit there if you are planning to vist Edinburgh
