Guide Kiki walked us through the history and meaning behind all this incredible architecture. Photos don't do justice to the detail in every surface – gold, glass mosaic, and craftsmanship everywhere you look. Having someone explain what we were seeing made all the difference. Perfect blue sky day for it too!

Grand Palace & Wat Phra Kaew The Grand Palace is an absolutely stunning historical site that reflects Thailand’s rich culture and heritage. The architecture is intricate and the Emerald Buddha is truly a sacred treasure to witness. The entire area is well-maintained, though quite crowded. A must-visit for anyone exploring Bangkok and learning about Thai history.

Very busy with tourists. Wonderful architecture and historical artifacts. Mural was great. They are restoring some stuff when I was there.

Cool Thai palace and temple from different eras. Weather is hot but it's nice as you can borrow umbrellas for free at the entrance and give them back at the exit

This compound of temples / Grand Palace is a sight you must see when visiting Bangkok! The entrance for foreigners is 500 baht and you can buy your ticket at the entrance. You will see the Emerald Buddha (they change his “clothes” cover depending on the season!) the Grand Palace, the Queen’s fabrics museum, and the Throne Hall, and some more beautiful structures within!
It’s a walk around self guided tour (or you can hire your own tour guide to help explain what’s going on because there a lot!)
