As a South African visiting Bulimba, it was amazing to see such a big litter free area. There are benches to sit on in either the sun or shaded areas, some with a table where you can picnic. A couple of gas braais (barbeques) in different spots with gas for you to cook your food. The best of all it is right alongside the river. Stunning place.

Fun for the kids, close to the dog park also for the kids to watch the dogs through the fence. Two climbing areas and slides, swings and spinning equipment, rubbery floor in sections to absorb impact from falls. Public toilets and 2 separate BBQ/picnic areas with shaded seating.

Edit (Sept 2024) - a few things needing some maintenance I.e. the baby swing locking mechanism is broken and some of the ropes/pillar tops are starting to degrade from exposure to the elements.

02.08.2022 What a great park! Next to the river, parking close by, dog park, toddler and kids climbing frames, BBQ etc. This park is sandy which is a bonus. Sunshades over the climbing frames. Exercise equipment near the river. Would recommend and return.
