Bremen Tower, was in ancient times used as a prison. The tower, sitting opposite of Tallinn Chess House, is unique as originally didn't having any doors at all on ground level, just a tiny window in the ceiling, where the worst of the prisoners, whose crimes were the severest, were put inside by the opening in the ceiling.
