The famous blue domes of Oia are lovely, but I still feel they are a bit overrated. There are other blue domes like the one in Paros or red domes, like the ones at Mykonos that are equally beautiful. The advantage of Oia is that we have 3 blue domes close to each other, and that makes a great backdrop :)
If you are not staying at Oia, be prepared to park the car at the entrance of Oia and walk to the Blue Domes. It's a decent walk with some elevation.

I went on a tour of the blue dome churches of Oia Santorini, Greece. The buildings of Santorini are painted white with blue dome churches. All structures are set into the cliffs overlooking the Aegean Sea. And, of course, I was inspired to do as many tourists do, that is to take a flying dress photoshoot! The island is breathtakingly beautiful and Instagram worthy!

The Blue Domed Church is one of the most iconic and recognizable landmarks of Santorini. It’s a truly special place, beautifully situated with stunning views over the caldera and the whitewashed houses of Oia.
As expected, it’s also one of the island’s biggest tourist magnets, often quite crowded, especially during peak hours. Still, despite the crowds, its charm and beauty make it an unmissable sight for anyone visiting Santorini.

The line is super long to get to the spot, we waited at least an hour and felt rushed especially because it was sunset and we didn’t want to take up other people’s time but the photos were worth it! But I would say maybe if you’re savvy you can find a hidden spot to get in without the line haha
