Not everything is open or on exhibit because of the war but you can still revel in the beauty of this building and go to the museum next door

I visited just before the start of war, so my review is based on my experience at that time.
A beautiful church.

Bernardine monastery in style of Italian-Dutch mannerism. The basis of the monastery was the great kostol, the first plan of a viscon, Bernardine monk Bernard Avellides. A historical church with a long history, so I highly recommend taking a guided tour of Lviv. Almost all walking tours of the city include the history of the Bernardine monastery

Had my goddaughters christening here and it was a wonderful experience. The priest was professional and helpful to everyone who didn’t speak Ukrainian. The pageantry and ordinate decorations really give this church an old world feel. Very cool experience, worth stepping inside for a few minutes to take some pictures.

A must see if you go to Lviv!
A 17th century Roman Catholic church with Baroque style interior, now a Greek Catholic church, is decorated with beautiful frescoes and paintings.
The church quietness, greatness and solemnity invites one to sit, contemplates life and be thankful. In a world where things move fast and covid-19 dominate the news, being with one self for a minute is not a bad thing to do.
