Interesting & important historical figure who died in this lovely house with original furniture. Set in shadow gardens, a peaceful oasis in St Teresa. A recommended extra if you are in the area!

Very interesting historycal place.
The house of the man who was responsible for the implantation of republic in Brasil.
He came to this house when he was already weak from a disease, and it was a rented house.
Benjamin Constant lived his last years there.
There is a Café, a library and an eco-walk within the grounds.

The museum house is quite simple. It primarily displays the antique belongings that once were used by the owner. If you enjoy seeing antique items and appreciate the stories behind them, then this is a place you can visit—and since it's free of charge, there's nothing to lose! I really like the atmosphere here; it's so peaceful and calm. You can easily finish your visit within 30 minutes or less, depending on how closely you examine everything. An added bonus is the clean restroom.
