As explained in other reviews. Very peaceful and a good place to chill out away from the crowds. Worth getting a snack and cold tinny and reflecting on a the amazing history of this very cool city .

I'm honored because my suggestion for listing this historic site on Google Maps has been accepted. There are remains of the pre-Romanesque church from the 11th century when Split was under the rule of Croatian King Petar Krešimir IV called The Great. A very detailed info board is nearby.

While strolling towards the golden gate and viewing the sculpture of Gregory of Nin, you can stop by this place to admire the well preserved tombstone. Nothing else so don’t expect much.
