This little museum in old town is a must-see when in Tallinn. It contains a fascinating collection of books that were/are banned in different parts of the world, each book has a description in both Estonian and English detailing the reason why it was banned. The books on display can be touched, making the visit more interactive and memorable. There is no entrance fee, but this awesome project can be supported by either donating or purchasing a book or unique socks. Big shout-out to the owner, it

Each book is labeled with the flag of the country and the reason why it is (or was) banned there. I highly recommend visiting the museum. And I also recommend reading the cards next to the books — it’s fascinating.

Small, insolite and very interesting museum on books banned all over the world. The museum is free, you can touch and read the books. Each book display an english resume of where, when and why each book was banned. This museum is definitely worth the detour! NB: At the end of your visit, you are free to give a donation, buy a book to help the owner (1984, Romeo and Juliet, Frankestein, etc) or simply leave.
