A perfect park. Yes, there are no paved paths, streetlights or benches here, BUT THERE IS A NEED FOR SUCH PARKS. Now most parks in Kaunas have been completely "civilized" from semi-forests, and here you can take a break from people, from the city, walk through the leaves, admire the breathtaking panorama of the Nemunas and Panemunė from the slope, climb the hill. A wonderful, peaceful, relaxing place, I really hope that it will remain untouched.

Here, in the bend of the Nemunas, on the right bank of the river on the edge of the upper terrace, a castle already stood 2 thousand years ago. The surviving and well-maintained Aukštės Šančiai mound now commemorates it. The Nemunas terrace is located right here and another Kaunas oak grove, Aukštės Šančiai, has been standing for centuries along the slopes. The paths are clear and the views great, however expect a pretty raw and unmanaged forest track. Near the river you will also find some Industrial areas, so I'd say it could be a better park area
