ARVALEM CAVES Cavated into the laterite hill the Arvalem caves consists of two major caves and a residential chamber. The firmase of excavation includes triple shrines; the first cave of the triple shrine on the north-west side is a square chamber having pitha in the centre, enshrined by a Linga like shaft of schist stone provided in its visible top form as a disc, perhaps standing for solar disc. The rectangular part below the disc-top contains an inscription "sambapuravasi ravi" a name of dono

Historic caves with a mystical charm The Arvalem Caves are rock-cut caves believed to date back to the 6th century. They are small but fascinating, giving a glimpse into Goa’s ancient history and Buddhist/Hindu influences.
✅ Peaceful spot, not crowded. ✅ Close to Harvalem Waterfalls and Rudreshwar Temple – can cover all three together. ✅ The caves are simple in design but carry a sense of mystery and history.
Worth a short visit if you’re already at the waterfalls. Best for those who love hist

A amazing waterfall to enjoy from distance( not to go inside stream) since flow was high during monsoon but you can enjoy mist/ spray flowing in reverse / upward direction. Got drenched in just 1-2 min. 10-12 km away there is keri foot bridge which is scenic view point. You can capture a wonderful photo there.
