Visited the Arcul de Triumf in Bucharest and it was a highlight of my trip! This iconic monument beautifully commemorates Romania’s victories and history, and you can feel its significance as soon as you step close to it. The architecture is impressive and captures the spirit of the city.

The surrounding area is also lovely for a stroll or photos, and there’s plenty of public transport nearby to get here easily. Overall, a must-see for history lovers and first-time visitors to Bucharest!

Very interesting Landmark with amazing views in every direction. About 5 km away from the old town...roughly 20 lei for the taxi and I think, was 30 lei for the 2 of us to enter. Historical photos and information on various landings to the top, and the same on the descending side.

Beautifully set up for a visit. It's stately and beautiful of course, but also has easy to manage stairs and nice information posters at each level. These help tell the story of the arch, along with how and why it was changed a bit through history. From the top there are good views of the city, which mostly show the treetops and higher buildings, showing more of the modern than the historic.

I went to see the Arc de Triomphe in Bucharest.

It was built to commemorate victory in World War I and the unification of Romania.

It was first constructed in wood in 1922 and later rebuilt in its current stone form in 1936, which gave me a strong sense of its historical significance.

The names of heroes are engraved on the arch, and the detailed sculptures and decorations convey a sense of national pride.
