Absolutely worth a visit if you’re in Rio. Arcos da Lapa (Aqueduto da Carioca) is impressive up close, and seeing the iconic yellow trams crossing the arches is a highlight—especially for photos. The area around Lapa is lively and full of character, with lots of bars, music, and street life that really show the city’s energy. It can get busy and a bit gritty at times, but that’s part of the authentic vibe. Great spot to explore, people-watch, and experience a classic slice of Rio.

It’s really nice to see this bridge in person. Just be aware it is in very dangerous part of town. There are so many shady people around. Felt really uncomfortable. And it is very hard to get a taxi or a Uber to pick you up from that location

The aqueduct is fascinating and there are trams that go through it. Be mindful of the area though. There are quite a lot od homeless people there and the general smell can be unpleasant.
