This is exactly what an archaeology museum should be. Come and visit if your are an archaeology fan or more - the displays are excellent and your will learn a lot.
If only they had a gift shop and a cafe !

Amazing museum of Minoan and Ancient Greece artifacts all presented in an informative educational way. Highly recommend

Cracking little museum that's well worth a visit for the €10 entrance fee. They also rotate some exhibits with the main one in Heraklion and there's loads of interesting information if (like us) you don't drive and don't fancy schlepping back to the main city. Very friendly and helpful staff, which seems to be the norm on Crete, and a great way of ducking out of the heat for a couple of hours. Just be aware that it closes at 15:30.

It's a beautiful Exhibition. Divided into two parts. First the minoan culture, second the ancient culture. Both mostly around the area of east Crete. Also the staff is nice :)

This magnificent museum, which has recently been renovated, is a must-see. It has a large number of exhibits from the Neolithic period, the Minoan culture to the Roman period. For every recommendation.
