it’s a well made museum, it takes you through history across various points in the world and it’s amazing to see how photography was assembled back then. to me, these pictures and scenarios made me want to go back to my history classes to learn again all of these situations that happened many many years ago. definitely robert capa’s work takes you back. worth visiting! my faves were turkiye photographs.

This museum is located off the beaten path, but in a very cool place. The Museum, 212 photo gallery, Torch brewery and a few restaurants are making together a beautiful backyard where you can chill between visiting any of these places. The museum itself is very nice. It shows the whole Ara Guler’s body of work, beautifully printed and displayed. Highly recommended!

The Ara Güler Museum, dedicated to the legendary photographer “the Eye of Istanbul,” is a bit sparse in terms of exhibits, but it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re a fan of photography. The highlight is the large-scale prints of his iconic works, which are stunning to see in person. And the best part? It’s free!
