A lovely little square in the center of Cáceres. It has two playgrounds and plenty of shade and trees. There are two bars with outdoor seating areas right in the square.

It's one of the most beautiful places in Cáceres, because there are many other beautiful parks, streets, and squares in Cáceres, but Plaza de Italia is unique. The only thing I don't understand is the politicians' obsession with changing the names of legendary streets and squares. Stop with the nonsense and let history speak for itself. If you're truly politicians, you're dedicated to doing the best you can for Cáceres and the people of Cáceres. Stop with the nonsense and bullshit.

A nearby park very close to the historic center, with plenty of shade under the trees, numerous benches, and two children's play areas. There are various amenities nearby or within the park, including a department store and pet-friendly tapas bars with outdoor terraces.

If you go to the bar, you're sure to be comfortable; it takes up a large part of the park. If you're with children, keep your shoes on. The ground is covered in sticky, crusty fruit and doesn't look like it's cleaned often. The benches are also covered in that nectar. However, it's not very shady, but it needs cleaning.

The square is centrally located and should be a meeting place for residents. A renovation and better cleaning wouldn't hurt. I would recommend that the city council monitor and fine dog owners; the place is covered in dog poop, and it's rare to come home without finding a "gift."
