It was a breathtaking experience. I had a great driver and all the tours were amazing. My pictures and videos do not do it justice. It's very safe by the way.

A gorgeous masterpiece, Antigua (means "ancient") is a highlight for most travelers. Located at an elevation of 1533 meters, it was the capital city of colonial Guatemala. Since those times here have been jaw-dropping streetscapes at every turn. It’s also a great place to brush up your dancing skills at one of the numerous schools. Honestly, I always recall Antigua as one of the most precious towns on entire earth!

In case anyone wants to know about accessibility - Antigua isn’t great for low mobility people. The rough cobblestone streets are extremely challenging for my 80-yr old mother so we are walking her everywhere. There are steps everywhere.
