Of the several museums and historical sites I saw in Copenhagen, I think Amalianborg Museum is one of the best. The entrance is right off the first building closest to Frederik’s Church. You walk down the steps and through the gift shop to store your bags and coats in free lockers.
There are several rooms where you see artifacts and documents. They’re set up as if real scenes. And some of the artifacts are interesting, like the Danish palace as, the silver champagne boat, and the golden egg wit

A bit expensive to enter but the royal experience does take you back in time and gives you a grand and imprialistic feeling. Here, you will see how the royals lived and how each monarch chose to decorate his or her room. You can also get a sense into the hobbies of the royals, some liked to collect smoking pipes for example and others liked hunting rifles. Overall it's not a bad musuem for those who like interior design, history and the Danish royal family.

A small museum at the 2nd and third floor. You can probably cover in an hour. Nice history pieces to see though. Keep your big bags at level one for free. Very spacious courtyard where at 12pm everyday, there is a very popular change of guards there. Expect very crowded scene so go early to get a slot.

We got very lucky, because we got a free mini tour by mere coincidence. It is true that they are still adapting to the new coronation, so some murals might not be updated, but you have a whole section for the new king. there are mini activities inside, and the shop was really nice, so it is a great activity to do. If you are an artist... maybe you can prove it at some point. no more spoilers. if you're not, we can still have a good laugh about it. Buy the tickets beforehand or go straight to the
