If you got a car and not on a wheelchair like my papa, do it! it's much grander and truly these views five you much better perspective and the views how the Matera used to be organised than by rubbing the shoulders with thousands of visitors while in the city itself

Breathtaking views, wonderful trails completely immersed in nature, where you can lose yourself in the view of Matera's long canyons. A natural wonder worth visiting at least once in your life. One small observation I can make is that the caves are not well-maintained.

It can be easily reached by car or bus, although you can't reach the panoramic viewpoint by car, but you can park a couple of kilometers ahead. The view of the city is a short walk away, but it's still worth walking all the way to the end of the road, where you can admire the spectacular view of the Sassi, overlooking both the Caveoso and Barisano districts, overlooking the ravine, a small canyon crossed by a stream. The breathtaking view and the surrounding nature make the walk much easier.
