Small but insightful museum. I like the feeling of pre-revolutionary era (late XIX century), which is represented at the exhibition. Also, special respect for the room showing the 1986 revolt.

Small museum, but it was nice to learn about the city. The entrance fee is 1,500 tenge. There’s also a temporary exhibition called “Serbian Women Through the Ages.” The staff are super friendly and helpful.

The last stop on our Almaty city tours was Almaty Museum. It’s a small museum with 11 rooms explaining the history of Kazakhstan. The final room with 1986 upraising are impressive….That gives us some hope…

Wow! What a beautiful experience. I took my time and I went alone, although I'm sure it would make a great date spot for friends who love art. Each room was expansively filled with such amazing images. The attendants in each room were kind and welcoming. I spent about 2 two hours walking through but right away I had some favourite pieces. I found a bench and took a moment to write about a few of them. The auntie in the gift shop was gentle and informative in both English and Russian. Her tone wa

I’m going to be honest, this museum really wasn’t for me. It’s quite small and didn’t have much that appealed to my interests. The WiFi was fast, and this is a nice neighborhood, at least.
