Apart from the cable car ride up to Kok Tobe (and certainly not the hilltop attractions themselves), the Central Mosque was my favorite part of Almaty. It’s beautiful, and it was nearly completely deserted when I visited earlier in the morning

Magnificent New central mosque for a new country, waktu prayers quite full. May Allah accept, open our hearts and lead us to the right path.

Beautiful mosque in the center of Almaaty city. It is absolutely gorgeous outside.
If you have a chance check out the main interior ( sadly only available for men). The interior space dedicated for women was honestly rather sad looking.
Free toilets and washing facilities available outside.

It’s a short and walkable distance from the Green Bazaar to this mosque. The golden dome is truly magnificent, and the entire place is beautiful and peaceful. There’s barely any English signage inside the halls, but it’s still worth the visit. A small park-like area nearby is perfect for relaxing and soaking in the surroundings. It was lightly raining during our visit, which added to the charm. Entry is free.

I did not get a chance to go there. It is not as much as the touristy websites tell you. If you seen other mosques in Middle East or Central Asian Republics, then you won't miss anything at least from the outside.
