Visited for a day, then wandered towards the harbour and town. No charge for the sunbeds in front of the cafés, but an expectation to at least buy something (for us, two Cokes and 4 hours of sunbeds). Calm water and no rocks whatsoever. Good for swimming and cooling off!

Lovely beach lined with old school hotels, cafes and restaurants. Beautiful promenade that connects the main village of Agia Galli to the beach great way to take in every place to eat or stay. The beach has several sun beds and umbrellas of varying degrees and not expensive, some even free. The water is beautiful and clear, small rocks mixed with sand.

Very beautiful but very busy. The road down to the harbour/beach is very narrow and gets very busy for vehicles. The carpark was full and we had to park further away on the road. Very touristy. Other very beautiful scenery. Wonderful mosaic art around the harbour wall.

Visiting Crete for the first time, the beach is grey sand with a fair bit of small gravel/rocks and larger areas of rocks. It is well developed with tavernas on the beach, hotels nearby and for this area, it is a good beach. A shade umbrella rents for 4 euros and a set of chairs with umbrella for 10.

Overall, 4 stars, good beach for here but I prefer the beaches of say, Thailand
